Day One – Welcome to Virginia Beach!

This afternoon, arrive to Virginia Beach and check into our oceanfront hotel for a fun-filled, relaxing three night stay!  Upon arrival, we’ll receive a warm greeting and refreshing welcome reception. Then take some time to freshen up before enjoying a delicious welcome dinner! This evening, enjoy the hotel amenities or stroll the boardwalk.

Day Two – Cape Henry Lighthouse, Naval Station Norfork, MacArthur Memorial & Virginia International Tattoo!

After breakfast at the hotel, depart with your guide for a tour of Virginia Beach enjoying the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. Visit the historic Cape Henry Lighthouse and the spot where the English colonists first landed in 1607. Learn why the early colonists named the land Cape Henry and erected the First Landing Cross upon their arrival. Hear stories about fascinating shipwrecks and legends off the shores of Virginia Beach at the Old Coast Guard Station. Then we’re off for a tour of Naval Station Norfolk, the largest naval installation in the world. See the mighty ships and aircraft before a unique opportunity to dine on the base for lunch. Later, visit the MacArthur Memorial to experience a treasure trove of military history and memorabilia. Enjoy an early dinner before heading to the annual Virginia International Tattoo performance, the largest Tattoo in the United States. The Virginia International Tattoo will celebrate the past 21 years with an extraordinary, once in a lifetime, cast of 1,500 performers into one voice honoring the incredible service and sacrifice of the U.S. Armed Forces. A truly awe inspiring performance unlike any other!

Day Three – Parade of Nations/NATO Fest, Nauticus, Naval Museum and Battleship Wisconsin

Following breakfast, we’ll set out with our local step on guide. Today is filled with the excitement of the Festival’s “Parade of Nations,” featuring international floats, marching bands, Virginia International Tattoo performers and floats that represent all NATO countries, viewed from our special reserved seating! Sample international cuisine; take in performances and sights at the beautiful Town Point Park. Either before or after the parade, we’ll tour Nauticus, Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Battleship Wisconsin. Nauticus is a fun and exciting interactive science and technology center exploring the power of the sea, featuring more than 150 exhibits, films and exotic aquatic life. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum, houses over 200 years of naval history in Hampton Roads and discover the Battleship Wisconsin, the largest and last battleship ever built by the US Navy. Dinner tonight will be at a local’s favorite seafood restaurant.

Day Four – Depart for home

Following breakfast, we’ll depart for home taking with us fond memories of our visit to Virginia Beach and the Virginia International Tattoo!
