Day One – Welcome to the Pennsylvania Dutch Country!
This morning depart for Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country! The Pennsylvania Amish of Lancaster County are America’s oldest Amish settlement, where thousands still live a centuries-old “Plain” lifestyle. Arriving in PA Dutch Country allows you to step back in time to enjoy a slower, more peaceful pace – one where the horse & buggy remains a primary form of transportation, and where windmills dot the landscape, providing power harnessed from nature. Check into Amish Country Hotel where we’ll receive a warm greeting. Take some time to freshen up before enjoying a delicious Amish Smorgasbord dinner or Traditional Amish Home.

Then, we’ll board authentic Amish Buggy for a ride through the countryside. Friendly drivers will enlighten and entertain us with stories and information about the Amish. Later this afternoon, we’re off to the Amish Experience for the production, “Jacob’s Choice,” features an intimate view of the Amish today through the eyes of the Fisher family and scenes from Amish history re-created with multiple projection screens and special effects.
