Day One - Welcome to Maine

Arrive to the State where its motto quotes, “the way life should be”! Journey north through the beautiful mountains and lush green hills of Northern New England to Bethel - Maine’s most beautiful mountain village. Arrive to our lovely Mountain resort for a three night stay. We’ll be met with a festive wine and cheese reception along with a warm greeting by our tour director. This evening, enjoy the resort amenities. Perhaps take a dip in the heated pool, or gather for a nightcap in the cozy lounge.

Day Two - Mining for Gems

This morning gather for a scenic and historical tour of the area. Bethel has been welcoming visitors for over 150 years! In the late 1800's, the arrival of the Atlantic and St Lawrence Railroads connected Bethel with Portland and Montreal allowing tourism to flourish throughout this area. Later, be sure to dress comfortably because we’re off to the famous Bumpus Mine for a fun and informative afternoon of mining for Maine’s precious gems! Then, visit the Mountain Man jewelers, Gallery and museum to see how these raw stones are turned into precious pieces of art and jewelry! Tonight, enjoy another delicious dinner in the main dining room followed by lively entertainment.

Day three - Wildcat Mountain & Moose Float

Enjoy the morning exploring the village of Bethel or taking advantage of the Inn’s amenities. Later, we’ll depart for Jackson, NH for an exciting gondola ride to the summit of Wildcat Mountain for spectacular views of Mount Washington and eastward to the Atlantic. Later this afternoon, we’ll depart for a scenic Moose and Wildlife Float (boat trip), so be sure to dress warm and comfortable. Get the camera’s ready for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view these spectacular creatures in their natural habitat. Also, we may be able to see other wildlife opportunities such as bald eagles, Loon’s or Deer. We’ll return to the Inn for a relaxing evening of dinner and good conversation!

Day Four - Depart for home

This morning, we’ll bid farewell to Bethel taking with us many fond memories of our vacation filled with Maine’s Mines, Mountains and Moose!
