Day Two - Lexington, Concord & Boston

Enjoy the day tracing the American Revolution! Begin touring the historic towns of Lexington and Concord. Paul Revere’s famous ride occurred when he saw the lights in the Old North Church and rode out of the City to warn the residents of these towns. The first shot of the Revolutionary War was fired in Concord. This guided tour traces the route of Revere and the subsequent events that lead to the outbreak of hostilities. Continue to Boston for free time in Quincy Market’s Faneuil Hall for lunch on our own. This afternoon, tour along the famous Freedom Trail viewing many famous sites including the Old North Church, Boston Common, the Public Garden, "Cheers" pub and the USS Constitution, better known as "Old Ironsides". Finish the day with a brief walking tour in the historic North End to view the Old North Church. Then enjoy a delicious Italian feast at one of the North End’s famous Italian Restaurants!

Day Three - Cape Ann touring & Schooner Cruise

Begin the day with a tour of Salem exploring the scene of the famous Salem Witch Trials which has overshadowed the success of the area as a successful shipping port. Enjoy a visit to the Salem Witch Museum for an informative narration of the famous trials. Then it’s on to Rockport! This town is said to be the oldest art colony in the country with art galleries, shops and restaurants which fill the small converted fishing shacks. Continuing on to Gloucester, a stop is made at the famous statue commemorating the death of the Gloucester fishermen who went down with their ships. The movie, "A Perfect Storm", was based on these fishermen and was filmed in this area. This afternoon, step aboard the beautiful 49 passenger Essex built schooner Thomas E. Lannon for a two-hour sail around Gloucester's scenic harbor and coastline. Help the crew members raise the sails, or just sit back and relax taking in all the magnificent scenery!
