Day One - Welcome the Bay State
Welcome to the Bay State for a ghoulishly good weekend! Arrive to our north shore hotel and take some time to freshen up before we depart for Gloucester. A festive evening is planned for us tonight! First, enjoy a traditional lobster bake at the Gloucester House Restaurant before venturing off to the Hammond Castle’s Haunted House. This medieval style castle was built between 1926 to 1929 by John Hays Hammond Jr as his home and as a backdrop for his collection of Roman, medieval, and renaissance artifacts.

Day Two - Salem Haunted Happenings
Spend the day in Salem Massachusetts where Halloween is a month-long celebration! Begin with a guided tour of Salem, most widely known as the site of the Witchcraft Trials of 1692; however this colorful coastal city has much to offer both residence and visitors alike! Rich marine heritage combined with an impressive display of historic architecture and amazing stories that span almost four centuries. Later, visit the Salem Witch Museum for a step back in time to 1692 for a dramatic history lesson using stage sets with life size figures, lighting and narration to experience this dramatic witch hunt that struck fear and terror into the hearts of the Salem townspeople and ultimately lead to the court trials and executions of many men and women! Enjoy free time for lunch on our own before attending the performance of Cry Innocent. Experience the re-enactment of the arrest and pre-trial of Bridget Bishop, the first of the girls to be hung as a witch. Enjoy an early dinner, followed by evening of ghoulish fun! Visit the House of Seven gables for Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Spirit of the Gables as we witness the cursed Pyncheons haunting the hallways of their eerie Mansion. The remainder of the evening is at our leisure to enjoy and explore the variety of events the Salem Haunted Happenings has to offer such as spell castings, ghostly walking tours, Monster Mash costume contest, tarot card and rune reading demonstrations and other fun events.

Day Three - Keene Pumpkin Festival
Enjoy a leisurely morning before we depart for Keene, NH for the famous Keene Pumpkin Festival where record numbers of pumpkins are on display along the main street. Keene has held the world record eight times for the most jack-o-lanterns lit at the same time in one place. Enjoy endless activities such as a costumed parade, pumpkin seed spitting contest, pumpkin eating contest, and the arts and crafts fair. This pumpkin festival is filled with wonderful events and activities morning until night! Enjoy an early evening dinner at one of the towns great restaurants. We’ll finish the evening off with a wonderful fireworks display high above the pumpkins. Depart Keene and journey to our central Massachusetts hotel for the night.

Day Four - Yankee Candle Company & Depart for home
This morning, visit the famous Yankee Candle Company, the world’s largest candle store. Enjoy watching old world candle making by the costumed Chandlers and stroll through the Bavarian Christmas Village with its winter alpine theme. Later, continue home taking with us wonderful memories of our Salem Haunted Happening and Keene Pumpkin Festival journey!
