This star shaped fortification was completed in 1856 and stands on a hill overlooking downtown. Designed to block a land-based attack, this fort actually was never attacked. From Charlottetown, we’ll depart for the north shore traveling through “Anne’s Land” viewing the beautiful red sandy beaches and pastoral countryside. This drive along the shore is among the most beautiful on the island. Visit the Green Gables House and Anne of Green Gables Museum. Tonight savor a traditional P.E.I. lobster supper.

Day Eight - Magnetic Hill, Hopewell Rocks & Reversing Falls
This morning, bid farewell to Prince Edward Island as we cross over the Federation Bridge into New Brunswick. En route, visit Magnetic Hill; Canada’s third most visited natural attraction. Gravity is defied as the motor coach seems to amazingly roll uphill in neutral! From here, we’ll visit the Hopewell Rocks. At high tide, these rocks appear to be common islands, but at low tide, you are able to view these impressive mushroom shaped flower pot rocks that the relentless tides have carved out of the sandstone. We’ll then make a stop to the Reversing falls. This phenomenon is best described when the high tides of the Bay of Fundy meet and overpower the Saint John River and force the river to reverse and flow back upstream. Arrive to our Saint John hotel for the evening.
