Day One - Arrive Thousand Islands

Welcome to the Thousand Islands! Here Ontario and the United States meet... their cultures blending in the waters of the mighty St. Lawrence and Great Lake Ontario. The native peoples called this region the “Garden of the Great Spirit.” Today, many people still remark that this gorgeous garden of woods and waters that is the 1000 Islands is truly one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Arrive to our area hotel for a relaxing four-night stay. Enjoy a get-acquainted dinner this evening.

Day Two - Fort Henry & Kingston

This morning, depart with our guide for a guided tour of Kingston; known as the “Limestone City” because of the abundance of historic architecture constructed of this distinctive stone. Its harbor location was once of strategic military importance and now makes Kingston attractive for recreational boating. Tour highlights include views of Queen’s University, Royal Military College of Canada, Saint George’s and Saint Mary’s Cathedrals and many mansions. Mid day, we’re invited to visit Fort Henry National Historic Site, an authentic 19th century British military fortress to experience Ontario's only World Heritage Site. This majestic Fort sits high above the Kingston harbour at the gateway to the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau Canal.

Day Three - Gananoque & Thousand Islands Cruise

This morning, depart with our guide to Gananoque and relax aboard a 3-hour scenic cruise throughout the Thousand Islands. Tour both the Canadian and American Sides of the river, travel down the Seaway Channel and view many of the spectacular Islands. A guided tour of Gananoque area completes the day. This evening, attend a performance at the Thousand Islands Playhouse after dinner.

Day Four - Ottawa

Following breakfast, depart for the Capitol of Canada; Ottawa. Enjoy a guided tour of this cosmopolitan city with a British flavor, right down to a Changing of the Guard Ceremony. Parks and flower gardens dot the City, and the Canal, lined with bicycle paths becomes a skating pond in the winter. The tour includes a visit to Parliament, views from Parliament Hill, admission to the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and a visit to Canada’s oldest pedestrian mall with all its charming cafes and shops.

Day Five - Depart for home

This morning, depart the Thousand Islands with wonderful memories to cherish.
